If you think the above is obvious, when I was an epilepsy fellow seeing patients in outpatients, I was interrupted by a telephone call from one of the technologist upstairs, requesting that I urgently come and look at an EEG as one of the stroke fellows had looked at it and said that the patient was in status epilepticus. Needless to say, the EEG was normal and these were alpha rhythms
